TEEN Scholarships

For the first time ever, The Forever Yung Dance Studio is offering DanceSport Scholarships to Teens within the local area!
DanceSport is the official name given to the sport of competitive ballroom dancing. DanceSport has gone through a revolution over the past decade. Today, the combination of artistry and athleticism has brought DanceSport into the forefront of mainstream media. TV shows such as “Dancing With the Stars” and “So you Think You Can Dance?” both showcase the challenging and rewarding aspects of the exciting world of DanceSport. Competing is a great way to accelerate your skill as a dancer and competitions are a vibrant, exciting part of the ballroom dance world.

Scholarship Info:

• We have 10 Scholarships to give away. 5 to Boys and 5 to Girls.
• If you are aged between 12 - 16 years and live within the Oceanside area you may apply for a Forever Yung Scholarship.
• You do not need a partner. Partnerships can be matched up once Scholarships have been awarded. Couples may apply together.
• Scholarship value is $200 per person and includes a placement on our ‘Intro to DanceSport’ program.
• No experience required.

How to apply:

Simply drop by the Studio and pick up a Scholarship information & application package and return it to us by August 3rd, 2010. Alternatively, you can print an Application Package now.

We now have a selection of Dancewear available for purchase. We currently have both Latin and Standard skirts and tops available in stock.

Group Class Schedule Changes

Commencing the week of July 12, 2010, our regular group class program schedule will be changing! We will be moving our Intermediate II Latin and Standard programs from Monday evenings to Thursday evenings. As a result, our regular Thursday practice sessions will move to a Monday evening at 6:15pm.

Kinder & Teen Classes are coming this Summer!

Starting this summer, we will be running Kinder classes for kids aged 4 - 6 years and Teen classes for kids aged 12 - 16 years. Please visit our 'Kids & Teens' page for further information.

Attention SINGLE dancers!

Are you one of those people who would love to take Dance lessons, but think you can’t because you don’t have a partner?

The Forever Yung Dance Studio WELCOMES SINGLE DANCERS! Our new ‘Forever Fantastic’ programs are designed for both couples and SINGLES in mind. Our classes focus on:

• building strong basic technique through individual learning and
• the fundamental partnering skills required for ‘together dancing’ through partner rotation

Calling to pre-register for a class enables us to make every effort to match our students with a dance partner. Many of our single dancers have made great friendships through dance lessons at our studio.
